My Role

  • Leadership role crafting a product and digital marketing strategy that sustained the product in a competitive field over an extended period (required search engine marketing and SEO management in partnership with an SEM consultancy).
  • Led UX and creative design for substantial product updates and feature development (including integration for Instagram and Tumblr support).
  • Served as technical product manager, managing vendor relationships (SEM and graphic design), participating in planning and prioritization of development, coordinating sprints, quality assurance testing, and code releases.
  • Implemented GA4 migration.
  • Creative direction and design for the marketing website and for marketing campaigns.
  • Creative direction for the book cover library (added new cover designs as needed).

Product Features

  • Web to print process: Posts on multiple blogging and social platforms could be printed in book format with minimal editing required.
  • The Magic: Automated book creation requiring minimal customer input, with an option to switch to more detailed editing.
  • Marketing site: Wordpress (and all that implies from a technical standpoint over a ten-year period including security updates and migrations).
  • Email Campaigns: HubSpot
